Services, PR & Digital PR

The right story,
to the right desk.

Public relations built pitch by pitch, for one publication at a time. No mass mail-outs, no recycled press release, no vanity coverage in titles your customers have never read. Fewer pitches, better placed.

How we work

Bespoke by default.
Considered by habit.

Most PR fails for a dull reason. The story was never worth telling, or it was told to the wrong person. So we start with the story. What is genuinely new, genuinely useful, or genuinely surprising about your organisation, and who has a professional reason to care.

From there the work is narrow on purpose. A tight list of journalists, editors and producers who actually cover your beat. A pitch written for each of them, in their language, referencing what they published last month. Follow-up that reads like a colleague, not a queue.

We are a deliberately lean consultancy, so you are not handed to a junior with a spreadsheet of contacts. The person who builds the strategy is the person who writes the pitch and picks up the phone. That is the whole point of the model.

Where technology helps

Machines for the research.
People for the relationship.

Regent runs on orchestrated AI agents daily, and PR is one of the places that leverage shows most. Agents read the coverage, cluster the angles, track which writers have moved titles, and pull the data that turns an opinion into a story. Work that used to take a week of desk research now takes an afternoon. That machinery lives in the Regent OS PR Engine, below.

What AI does not do here is talk to journalists, and it does not write the pitch that lands. Nobody has ever built a relationship with a template. Technology buys us the hours we then spend on judgement, wording and timing, which is where earned coverage is actually won.

The same discipline extends to measurement. Coverage is tracked against referral traffic, branded search, backlink quality and AI visibility, the citations you earn when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity about your category. If a placement did nothing, we say so.

Regent OS, PR Engine

Coverage you can see, not guess at.

Every PR client gets a live PR Engine inside Regent OS. It logs earned coverage the day it lands, keeps a named media list for the beat with roles re-checked weekly, and tells you plainly where the gaps are. No monthly PDF of clippings, no waiting until the retainer review to find out what happened.

What the Engine gives you

A live dashboard, not a monthly PDF

One PR Engine per client, open any day of the month. Coverage is logged the day it lands, so the review is a conversation rather than a reveal.

Every placement, in context

Date, outlet, tier and a plain note on what the coverage actually did. Referral traffic and links sit alongside it, so reach is never the only number.

AI answer citations, tracked

We count the times your organisation is cited when someone asks an AI assistant about your category, because that is increasingly where the first answer is formed.

A named press list, not a bought one

Real journalists on your beat, with roles re-checked weekly. Editors move chairs constantly and a stale list is the most common reason a pitch dies.

How each writer likes to be pitched

What they need before they will commission: embargo windows, a case study, a field contact, data in advance. This is the part that turns a list into coverage.

The honest gap read

What is missing and who fixes it, written down before you have to ask. Including the months where the pipeline is thin.

The Engine sweeps for mentions automatically, refreshes the press list as bylines and job titles change, and produces a monthly pitch shortlist: the writer, the angle, and the reason it is worth their time now. The research is automated. The pitching never is.

What the engagement covers

Story and narrative

The messaging spine, the proof points behind it, and the handful of angles worth taking to press. Written so your team can repeat it without a script.

Media relations

Targeted outreach to national, trade, regional and sector press. Individual pitches, proper follow-up, and honest reporting on what was ignored as well as what ran.

Digital PR and link earning

Campaigns designed to earn authoritative links and citations, built with our SEO team so coverage compounds into organic performance rather than a screenshot.

Data and research stories

Surveys, freedom of information requests and analysis of your own data, turned into the kind of numbers a newsdesk will use.

Thought leadership

Comment, bylines and expert commentary that put your leadership in the right publications, ghostwritten to sound like them and not like us.

Reactive and crisis

Newsjacking when the moment is right, and calm handling when it is not. Statements, holding lines and spokesperson prep, drafted quickly and reviewed carefully.

The process

01, Listen

We audit your existing coverage, your competitors' coverage and the conversation around your category. It tells us what has already been said and what is missing.

02, Build

A narrative, a campaign calendar and a media list built for your sector. Agreed with you before a single journalist hears from us.

03, Place

Individual pitching, interview handling, asset supply and approvals. You always know who has the story before it appears.

04, Prove

Coverage, links, referral traffic, branded search and AI citations, reported in your Regent OS dashboard alongside every other channel.

Who it suits

Right fit,
plainly stated.

This works well for organisations with something real to say: charities running appeals and campaigns, hospitality brands with a story worth visiting, founders launching products, and teams whose expertise is the asset.

It works badly if the aim is volume for its own sake, or coverage that cannot be tied to anything. If you need a hundred press releases a month, we are the wrong consultancy, and we will tell you that on the first call rather than the fourth invoice.

Engagements run as retainers where there is a steady stream of news, or as fixed campaigns around a launch, a report or an appeal. Both are quoted on scope, not on headcount.

One story, well placed

We'll tell you who cares.
